Reflecting on past years
Frustration, hate, so many fears
Alone and empty I recall the tears
Desperately searching, finding no answer
Misery painted with laughter
Perservering in this world of disaster
Could no longer bear, no strenth to cope
Gave up on life, through in the rope
Through darkness shone this ray of hope
In bondage, now set free
The chains are just a memory
Thankful to Him who lives in me
The pain I thought would never end
Now ceased, no more need to pretend
In Jesus
I have found a friend
